KAGAS implementing the Asha plus worker training program which objectives are- The overall aim of the project is to select, train, develop supervision and deploy a cadre of women health volunteers based at hamlet-level in Munsyari and Munakot Blocks of Pithoragarh District. This program is supported by Govt. of Uttarakhand and technically supported by US AID.

The Specific objectives of the project are:

1. To increase community participation and establish community action in improving the awareness and accessibility of health services in the project area in a sustainable manner.
2. To provide the community with the nearest community touch point in accessing basic health service and improving their health seeking behavior.
3. To develop strong linkages between the community and private-public health service system in the project area.

KAGAS is also implementing KOPAL project in Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat district this program is related to women feticide and child birth registration and also related to women and child health care. After implementing this program in both of district there is tremendous change in the attitude of parents for birth registration. Overall no. of registration is increased from 18% to 40%. And in those particular villages the program is being implemented birth registration are 100%.
